2 Days Tarangire and Lake Manyara Safari: Our 2 days safari to Tarangire and Lake Manyara national parks is an amazing adventure that is designed for visitors with a short period of time or tight schedule and it starts and ends in Arusha. During the 2 days safari you will visit two national parks in the northern circuit that is Tarangire national park which is one of the best destinations in Tanzania with abundant wildlife such as large herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, lions, leopards, hyenas, wildebeests, zebras among other. You will also visit Lake Manyara national park in northern Tanzania where you will engage in an interesting game drive that gives you an opportunity to view the tree climbing lions which are only found in Lake Manyara national park and Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda. During the gale drive you will have views of other animals such as zebras, giraffes, elephants, warthogs, waterbucks, hippos, wildebeest, gazelle, different bird species among others.

Tarangire and Lake Manyara Safari, your driver-guide will pick you up from hotel in Arusha or airport, brief you about the safari and start the journey to Tarangire national park which located in the northern part of Tanzania. The journey takes about 2 hours drive and on the way you will have spectacular views of the coffee plantations, the Maasai villages, traditional homesteads, Mount Meru which is the second highest mountain in Tanzania after Mount Kilimanjaro among others. Upon arrival in the park you will continue to check into the lodge and have early lunch.
Game drive, after lunch you will meet up with your driver guide to go for an afternoon game drive in the park where you will have great views of the beautiful landscape, large herds of elephants buffaloes, zebras, gazelle, wildebeest, giraffes, waterbucks, elands, impala, bushbucks and if you are lucky you can spot predators such as lions, leopards, hyenas among others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
On the last day of the 2 days safari to Tarangire and Lake Manyara national parks you will have an early breakfast, carry packed lunch, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Lake Manyara national park.
Upon arrival in the park you will go for a morning game drive where you will explore different areas such as the grassy floodplains, acacia woodlands and Lake Manyara. During the morning game drive most animals will be active feeding on grass with due therefore you will be able to view large herds of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, waterbucks, warthogs and if you are lucky you can also view predators like leopards and the tree climbing lions lying in the acacia tree branches, view different bird species.

It is also possible to get a tourist or business visa for a single entry on arrival at the main ports of entry to Tanzania. This visa for Tanzania is valid for three months. You may be asked to provide proof of your return journey, and costs are $50 per person, US Citizens $100 per person.

What vaccinations are needed for Tanzania?
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is only required for travellers one year of age and older coming from – or who are in airport transit for more than 12 hours within – a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.
In addition to standard vaccinations such as MMR and TDP, the CDC and WHO recommend vaccinations for Tanzania, such as Hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and typhoid. Yellow fever and rabies vaccinations are also recommended depending on the traveller’s activities. As of January 2023 there are no more COVID-19 restrictions in Tanzania, and vaccinations or PCR-tests are no longer necessary before traveling.
